Odds on Inter Milan Taking the Serie A Title in 2021/22

Latest Odds on Inter Milan Winning the Serie A Title in 2021/22

Over the past few weeks, there’s been a huge movement in the odds for the Serie A title. There isn’t just a solid new leader; the last one has suddenly slipped from view – past the point of no return. Now, there’s a new 2nd favourite in the running.

The latest odds show Inter Milan is strongly tipped to be the league’s winners, with odds of -150. Atalanta comes up next with odds of +333, and then AC Milan in 3rd place at +700. Napoli, who won 12 consecutive games at the beginning of this season, is coming up 4th with odds of +800  after being in freefall since their last win, which has caused the odds of them taking the title to lengthen in that time drastically.

The Serie A title odds for AC Milan have also lengthened, but Atalanta’s have shortened steadily. Meanwhile, the odds of Juventus taking the title have also extended to +2500 from +2000 in the past 2 weeks.

Who Is the Betting Favourite in the Title Odds for 2021-22’s Serie A?

The odds are currently standing as follows:

  1. Inter Milan – odds of -150
  2. Atalanta – odds of +333
  3. AC Milan – odds of +700
  4. Napoli – odds of +800
  5. Juventus – odds of +2500
  6. AS Roma – odds of +10000
  7. Fiorentina – odds of +15000
  8. Lazio – odds of +25000

Which Teams Should You Bet on to Win This Season’s Serie A?

Over the last few weeks, the odds of taking the title have consistently backed the defending champion, Inter Milan.

The team reduced its 7-point deficit to AC Milan to just a 1-point deficit 3 matches ago. Today, they’re the brand new leader of Serie A, and they have a 1-point advantage over their rivals.

During that time, football bookies have shortened their outright odds of winning Serie A into negative figures. Indeed, Inter Milan has put quite a distance between its rival contenders. Having won their previous 5 consecutive games, Inter Milan hasn’t lost any of their past 6 matches. This streak even includes Napoli, their direct rivals, which they beat in a 3-2 defeat, and AC Milan, with whom they scored a 1-1 draw.

The league will try to draw ever closer to the halfway stage this weekend, so it’s a positive sign that Inter has managed to put all of its toughest fixtures behind it and has still ended up on top. They had a major issue with conceding goals when the season began, and that was when Napoli’s defensive record had kept them at the top. But now, Inter Milan has not conceded during their past 4 games, and they’ve managed to maintain their unmatched scoring rate. Their improvement is so impressive that they’re now rated as the league’s 2nd best defensive side, with 15 conceded goals in 17 games with a score of 43 – 6 more than their nearest contenders.

Which Are the Best Serie A Winner Picks?

It’s fair to say that Atalanta has certainly earned its current betting odds on taking the Serie A title. They’ve remained unbeaten during their past 10 games. They’ve also won the last 5, including those against Juventus and Napoli.

The impressive creative and attacking flair of some of Atalanta’s players, such as Duvan Zapata, Mario Pasalic, Luis Muriel, and Ruslan Malinovsky, has been largely responsible for the team’s improved performance in this league.

Their fortunes in the Champions League haven’t worked out quite well, but Atalanta has used its robust structural play to capitalize on Napoli’s recent slip-ups. It has put them in third position, just 3 points behind their rivals Inter Milan, and they’re the league’s team with the second-highest score.

Yet, it isn’t just about the attack. As the league’s 4th-top tackling team, Atalanta makes, on average, 15.7 each game. They’re also similarly placed for interceptions each game, with an average of 11.2.

Who Are the Outside Contenders to Bet On?

Please note that these teams are only listed as outside contenders now based on the current betting odds for Serie A. These teams will likely be near the top at the season’s end.

AC Milan

The outright odds on AC Milan winning Serie A have lengthened considerably, up to +700 from +450 in just 2 weeks after Atalanta’s stratospheric rise. They’re still in second place and appear to be a solid choice as they’re pushing to bring back their one-time glory with a great combination of older and younger players.

On the downside, they’ve only managed to get 7 points out of the 15 available during the past 5 games. But, the better news is that those points all came during the past 3 games after their 2-match losing streak left them unable to profit from Napoli’s slip-up. This weekend, though, they’ll get their opportunity to rectify the situation since they’re facing Napoli in Sunday’s late fixture.

Napoli

The odds of Napoli winning the Serie A are rapidly falling after their impressive rise at the beginning of the season. Napoli appeared unbeatable during their initial 12 games, with an unimpeachable defense. At the same time, it was clear that AC Milan had somehow managed to maintain their fantastic start to the season with 2 teams, 11 wins, and a draw out of 12 games. Yet, it had to fade away eventually, and exactly that happened for AC Milan. In Napoli’s case, though, it’s been more of a wipe-out than a fade-out.

Since November, they’ve only won a single game, and they’ve also had to endure the frustrating loss 1-0 last weekend to Empoli after making an incredible 30-goal attempt but only to get 6 on target during a game in which they were dominating the field with 61% possession. It’s been a complete turnaround, with the team which never conceded now conceding in 4 of its last 5 games.
