MLB World Series 2024 Winner Odds – Halfway Season Update

MLB World Series 2024 Winner Odds – Halfway Season Update

We are at the midpoint of the 2024 Major League Baseball season, as the MLB All-Star Game will be played on July 16 at Globe Life Field in Texas. The playoffs are set to start in exactly three months, on October 1, so how have the MLB World Series 2024 winners odds changed since the start of the season?

An Overview on the 2024 Major League Baseball Regular Season So Far

The Philadelphia Phillies have surprised everyone and are topping the 2024 MLB regular season standings, as they weren’t in the top five favorites before the start of the season. The Baltimore Orioles haven’t slowed down since last season and are on top of the AL once again. The Cleveland Guardians are doing really well so far, topping the AL Central standings with a 52-30 record, while the Seattle Mariners have also been pretty good and are topping the AL West Division with a 47-39 record.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are unsurprisingly on top of the NL West Division after the big off-season they had, and the Milwaukee Brewers are on top of the NL Central Division after a great season for the team. There are a lot of disappointing teams that couldn’t step up, like the Miami Marlins, Chicago Cubs, Colorado Rockies, Chicago White Sox, and Oakland Athletics.

MLB World Series 2024 Outright Winner Odds

Here are the latest odds for the winners of the 2024 MLB World Series Championship:

  • Los Angeles Dodgers @ 4.20 (16/5)
  • Philadelphia Phillies @ 6.50 (11/2)
  • New York Yankees @ 6.75 (23/4)
  • Baltimore Orioles @ 10.50 (19/2)
  • Atlanta Braves @ 12.0 (11/1)

The Los Angeles Dodgers haven’t left first place on the odds since the off-season. They went into the season with odds of 7.50 (13/2) and it went down after their great start, as they have a 52-33 record and are chasing Philadelphia for the top spot in the NL. The Phillies have some of the best pitchers in the National League in Zach Wheeler, Aaron Nola, and Ranger Suarez, in addition to the in-form and great hitters Bryce Harper and Kyle Schwarber, so they will have a good shot to win the title this year.

The odds for the New York Yankees have gone down from 14.0 (13/1) to 6.75 (23/4), as they have two of the best hitters in the whole league, Aaron Judge and Juan Soto, and they are in great form this season. The Baltimore Orioles are doing great, as we predicted. We had them in our 2024 MLB season preview and predictions to win the AL with odds of 8.0 (7/1), and they should do that if they keep up their hot form. The Atlanta Braves have kind of been underwhelming this season, even though they have a pretty good record of 46-36, but they can do much better than that with the players they have.
