Golf 2023 US Open Odds
Before we present our 2023 United States Open Championship betting tips, let’s see what the golf US Open odds have to say about the favorites heading into this tournament:

Despite failing to win a major so far this season, Scottie Scheffler is the clear favorite in the US Open 2023 golf odds. The American pays 7.50 (13/2) for a victory in Los Angeles, which is the most distance in the odds he’s had on the field all season.
Behind Scheffler is Jon Rahm at 10.00 (9/1), closely followed by both Rory McIlroy and Brooks Koepka at 11.00 (10/1). These four are the obvious favorites, with Patrick Cantlay and Viktor Hovland a step off the pace on 15.00 (14/1) as the odds begin to become longer for the remaining participants.
Understanding the US Open 2023
This will be the 123rd playing of the US Open, with the tournament first being held in 1895. As the third of the four major championships that occur annually, the US Open is played across a range of different courses, making it one of the more challenging events for golfers. With a premium placed on those who can drive well, the 156-man tournament is open to golfers from the PGA Tour, European Tour, Japan Golf Tour, and LIV Golf.

- 2022—Matt Fitzpatrick beat Scottie Scheffler/Will Zalatoris
With a different winner every year for the past five years, will we see this trend continue again in 2023? Can Brooks Koepka continue his strong form to lift trophy number three at the US Open, or will Scottie Scheffler go one step further than he did in 2022? Golf United States Open 2023 Outright Betting Picks
It’s time to open your golf betting apps because we have four of the best 2023 United States Open Championship betting tips for you this week. After looking at all the different US Open 2023 golf odds, here are our top 2023 US Open golf betting picks:
Scottie Scheffler to Win @ 7.50 (13/2)
3 (100%)
0
In many ways, it feels as though the entire 2022-23 PGA Tour season has been building toward this moment for Scottie Scheffler. Since winning his first major championship at the 2022 Masters Tournament, the American has been wildly consistent this year. From 16 events played this season, Scheffler has finished inside the top 12 all but once. Of these, he’s placed in the top five nine times, including the past four tournaments he’s entered.
The only accolade missing from Scheffler’s incredible season is winning a major. At the Master’s Tournament this year, the 26-year-old accounted well for himself but only managed a T10 finish. Most recently, at the PGA Championship in May, Scheffler came oh-so-close, placing T2 on the final day.
This major, it’s tough to see him not continuing his strong form and finally getting the job done in 2023. Considering that he came runner up here last year, runner up in the most recent major, and already has two titles to his name in 2023, we say all signs point towards Scheffler winning the US Open on Sunday.
Brooks Koepka to Win @ 11.00 (10/1)
0
(100%) 1
One of the big obstacles standing in Scottie Scheffler’s way is a man he doesn’t encounter much on the golf course in recent years – Brooks Koepka. The 33-year-old has been practicing his wares on the LIV Golf circuit for the past two years, and it seems to have done him some good. In the two major championships so far this season, Koepka has placed runner-up at the Masters Tournament and won the PGA Championship.
With two US Open crowns already to his name in 2017 and 2018, plus a runner-up placing in 2019, can Koepka make it a hat trick of victories this week? We say he has a good shot, and with a healthy return of 11.00 (10/1), the return feels lucrative enough to justify a wager. If there’s any man that can race away with this tournament and beat Scottie Scheffler to the finish line, it’s Brooks Koepka – just ask Hideki Matsuyama and Brian Harman, who he beat by four strokes in 2017, setting a course record of -16 along the way.
2023 US Open Golf Betting Tips
Viktor Hovland Top Five Finish @ 5.00 (4/1)
2 (100%)
0
Another strong performer from the PGA Championship 2023 was Viktor Hovland. The young Norwegian finished T2 at the Oak Hill Country Club, joint with Scottie Scheffler, as they both lost to Koepka by two shots. Given his age, Hovland will take plenty of motivation from this deep run and is likely to be a threat at the US Open this week.
At times when players go deep in majors but fail to win, it can impact their motivation negatively. However, Hovland went out and won the Memorial Tournament just 10 days after his PGA Championship disappointment, indicating that there are to be no concerns here. We say wagering on the 25-year-old to make the top five in Los Angeles is a smart bet.
Colin Morikawa Top Five Finish @ 7.50 (13/2)
1 (100%)
0
To say that Colin Morikawa has had a patchy season so far would be an understatement. At times, the 26-year-old has been excellent – recording finishes between second and sixth in three consecutive events. However, Morikawa has also had his low points, missing the cut on four occasions already this year.
Looking at Morikawa’s overall record at the US Open, this is a great time to bet on the American placing in the top five. Because of his patchy form this year, Morikawa is paying great odds for a deep run at the 2023 US Open. And yet, he’s the only player who has placed in the top five at this event in the last two years. We say he’ll do it again and go one better than his T20 finish at the year’s first major by making the top five this tournament.
Our Recommended PGA US Open 2023 Predictions

With news of the shock merger between PGA Tour and LIV Golf dominating the headlines recently, it’s a breath of fresh air to have some actual golf to focus on instead. With the US Open 2023 just around the corner this Thursday, we say Scottie Scheffler will get the best of the 156-man field and lift his first major trophy of the season.
Expect plenty of competition, however, particularly from a confident Viktor Hovland, who should build off his PGA Championship performance to make a deep run here in Los Angeles. Or maybe you believe in the sleeping giant and are ready to bet on Rory McIlroy at the attractive odds of 11.00 (10/1)?
Scottie Scheffler go and win!!!
