We are less than two weeks away from the start of the 2024 French Open Grand Slam. The stakes will be high for the second Grand Slam event of the year, and it’s the first and only GS to be played on clay surfaces. Iga Swiatek is the two-time defending champion, beating Karolina Muchova in the women’s Roland Garros final last year.
Women’s Roland Garros 2024 Key Dates & Info
The 2024 women’s French Open participant list has all of the top 10 players in one of the most anticipated editions. The event will kick off with the qualifications on May 20, and the final will be on June 9. The Roland Garros full draw will take place on May 23. The Grand Slam event will be played at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris, France. The players are getting ready for this tournament by playing the 2024 women’s Italian Open, and the odds are expected to change a lot depending on the results there.
WTA Roland Garros 2024 Outright Winner Odds
Here are the odds for who will win the women’s French Open Grand Slam this year:
- Iga Swiatek @ 2.0 (Evs)
- Aryna Sabalenka @ 7.0 (6/1)
- Coco Gauff @ 10.0 (9/1)
- Elena Rybakina @ 10.0 (9/1)
- Simona Halep @ 26.0 (25/1)
Iga Swiatek is also the favorite to win the ongoing women’s tournament in Rome, as shown in our 2024 WTA Italian Open odds and predictions. The Polish player has won three of the last four editions of the French Open Grand Slam, so she is deservedly the clear favorite to defend her title. Aryna Sabalenka reached the Madrid Open final this month, but she lost in a close tiebreak to Iga Swiatek.
Coco Gauff and Elena Rybakina have the same odds of winning the title. Gauff reached the French Open final two years ago and lost, and she will try to win it this time after gaining experience. Simona Halep is finally back to tennis after her nine-month ban for an anti-doping violation. Halep has been to the Roland Garros final three times in her career, winning it only once in 2018.
