Wolverhampton’s Next Head Coach Betting Odds

Next Wolves Manager Betting Odds After Lopetegui Departure [August 2023]

The club is without a manager days before the start of the 23/24 season as Wolverhampton and Julen Lopetegui part ways. Gary O’Neil is leading the candidates for the new Wolves manager.

Julen Lopetegui and Wolves: Contract Termination Agreed

According to the news on the official Wolverhampton website, Julen Lopetegui and the club decided to part ways. The Spanish manager spent nine months with the team and helped them get out of the relegation zone. However, the financial problems for the Wolves don’t help him get the players he wants, as they haven’t made many transfers, if any, so far.

Wolverhampton’s Next Manager Odds

Here are the odds for which coach will manage the team for the next season:

  • Gary O’Neil @ 1.20 (1/5)
  • Michael Beale @ 2.50 (3/2)
  • Sergio Conceicao @ 3.50 (5/2)
  • Nuno Espirito Santo @ 4.0 (3/1)
  • Graham Potter @ 6.0 (5/1)

The closest to getting the job is Gary O’Neil, as he was managing another Premier League club last season – Bournemouth, and he did well with them. Michael Beale is the current coach of the Scottish club Rangers, but his name has been linked with the Wolves for a while now, and he could come to Molineux.

Porto’s coach Sergio Conceicao is another name on the table for the Wolves, and he looks like a good feat to continue the Portugal-oriented club’s path. Nuno Espirito Santo, their former coach, can also come back to the team, but it’s unlikely, as he is in the Saudi Professional League coaching a strong team in Al Ittihad. It would be hard for the club to sign Graham Potter as well due to their current financial situation, while the coach can try his forces in his third EPL club.
