The Main Contenders to be the Next 007
There are rumors that Christopher Nolan is interested in making a James Bond, which also explains Aaron Taylor Johnson being the favorite to be the next 007, as they have worked together before. Damson Idris and Harris Dickinson were in the top five favorites, but their names haven’t been around a lot lately when it comes to the next James Bond.
Next James Bond Betting Odds
Here is how the odds for the next 007 looked in August, that is how the best bookmakers see the odds for the next actor to perform the James Bond character in October:
- Aaron Taylor Johnson @ 2.50 (3/2)
- Henry Cavill @ 4.0 (3/1)
- James Norton @ 4.50 (7/2)
- Rege-Jean Page @ 6.0 (5/1)
- Tom Hardy @ 11.0 (10/1)
The latest James Bond odds have had Aaron Taylor Johnson as the favorite for many months, but even more so in the last few days. He suits the role well and is a fan favorite as well. Henry Cavill has also seen his odds shortened this month as he is known for playing Superman and the Witcher. James Norton’s odds haven’t changed much lately, as he has been in the top five favorites for so long.
At the same time, Damson Idris is ruled out of the top-5 potential actors, being the second favorite two months ago. Rege-Jean Page was at the top of the favorites last year, and his odds have dropped a lot since then, but he returned back into the likely replacements. Tom Hardy had his name linked to the James Bond character continuously, so it wouldn’t be a total surprise if they chose him.
