Liverpool’s Next Head Coach Betting Odds Update (April 2, 2024)
Jürgen Klopp’s era with Liverpool is coming to an end, as the German manager will depart from the Reds at the end of this season. Liverpool are doing very well right now, as they are on top of the Premier League, won the Carabao Cup, and are still competing for the Europa League. Ruben Amorim is currently the favorite to replace Klopp.
Xabi Alonso to Continue His Journey with Bayer Leverkusen
Xabi Alonso announced on Friday that he is staying at Bayer Leverkusen after this season. The Spaniard is one of the most promising managers, as he is doing an amazing job with the Black and Reds. Bayern Leverkusen are 13 points ahead of Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga standings. They have an enticing 39-game unbeaten streak right now, and they are also the only unbeaten team in Europe’s top five leagues this season.
Next Liverpool Manager Odds
Here are the odds for which coach will replace Jürgen Klopp as the next Liverpool manager:
- Ruben Amorim @ 1.80 (4/5)
- Roberto De Zerbi @ 7.0 (6/1)
- Julian Nagelsmann @ 9.0 (8/1)
- Xabi Alonso @ 10.0 (9/1)
- Pep Lijnders @ 13.0 (12/1)
Ruben Amorim emerged as the clear favorite in the last few days, as he wasn’t even among the top five favorites when Klopp announced his departure from Liverpool. He has been great for Sporting Lisbon in the last four years, and there are a lot of rumors about Amorim being the next Liverpool coach. Roberto De Zerbi has seen his odds go down from 8.50 (15/2) to 7.0 (6/1). The Italian coach knows the Premier League well, and he is well respected for his work with Brighton.
Julian Nagelsmann’s contract with the Germany national team will end after the 2024 UEFA Euro. His odds also went down from 10.0 (9/1) to 9.0 (8/1), and he has never coached outside of the Bundesliga and Germany. Pep Lijnders was the second favorite at some point, with odds of 4.0 (3/1). Lijnders announced in February that he would also leave at the end of the season.
