The 2023 MLB regular season is coming to an end, as the playoff picture is almost set, and the postseason starts in October. The Atlanta Braves are currently the favorites to win the 2023 World Series, but what other teams are also in contention for the title?
The New York Mets and the New York Yankees were two of the biggest surprises this season, as they both were in the top three favorites preseason to win the title, but they have missed even the playoffs.
The Baltimore Orioles had preseason odds of 101.0 (100/1) to win the title, but after their great success and finishing at the top of the American League, their odds came all the way down to 8.0 (7/1). The Houston Astros are the defending champions, and they are currently 6th on the list of favorites.

The Atlanta Braves are unsurprisingly the favorites of the baseball bookies to win the title, as they finished comfortably at the top of the National League and looked great all season. The Los Angeles Dodgers were also very good and finished in second place in the NL behind the Braves.
The Baltimore Orioles are currently the third favorites to win the World Series. They are, without a doubt, the dark horse of the tournament, and it will be fun to see them in the playoffs. The Tampa Bay Rays had a great start this year, as they tied the record for the longest winning streak to start a season (13) and will try to do the same in the playoffs.
