For the first time in history, the CEV Champions League has two Polish teams in the final. Kedzierzyn-Koyle are used to the big stage, having won the title in 2020-21 and 2021-22 while also making the semifinals twice in the past decade. For Jastrzebski Wegiel, this will be their first finals appearance after making the final four on three separate occasions in 2010-11, 2013-14, and 2021-22.

Many think that Jastrzebski Wegiel’s pool play was impressive, but that’s selling their post-season short. Since playing in the quarterfinals and semifinals, JW have won the first set of every match they’ve contested. They may have had to slog it out in some of their matches, but regardless of the opposition, JW have been consistently starting fast and winning the opening exchange.
