World Wide Technology Mayakoba 2022 Predictions

As only one player has been victorious twice in 15 years, many players have a high potential to win. Here are our top PGA Tour Mayakoba Golf Classic 2022 odds and predictions for outright winners that can grant you free bet bonuses:

Bookmaker’s Favorite – Scottie Scheffler to Win @ 9.8 (9/1)

According to Mayakoba Golf Classic 2022 odds, Scottie Scheffler is the bookmakers’ favorite at 9.8 (9/1). This year has been phenomenal for Scheffler as he was the number one golfer since March for 30 weeks.

He has been at the top of his game lately. But what makes him a strong prediction is his recent victory in the 2022 Masters Tournament. Another plus point for Scottie is that he’s the PGA Tour Player of the Year 2021-22.

So, Scheffler will be safe to bet on due to his current performance, but you may also want to try others. Here we have a betting preview on our other top three expert picks that are equally potential to outperform Mr. Scottie.

WWT Championship at Mayakoba 2022 Betting Bonus

Victor Hovland to Win @ 11.2 (10/1)

Our first prediction is the only two times winner of the event, Victor Hovland. His odds to win World Wide Technology golf 2022 is 11.2 (10/1). The defending champ has continuously won the event for two years and will look forward to a hat trick.

Turning professional in 2019, he progresses rapidly with his skills and becomes the third-best player in the rankings. Victor’s 6 professional wins in this short time are enough to make him our major prediction.

Tony Finau to Win @ 16.9 (16/1)

Tony Finau can be the underdog of the event, with the odds to win at 16.9 (16/1). He may not have a bright track record in the field, but Tony has been performing pretty impressively in recent times.

Last year, he won the Northern Trust by defeating Cameron Smith, with two wins this year. This July, Finau won the 3M Open and Rocket Mortgage Classis back-to-back. His current form can be the fact of his better odds.

Billy Horschel to Win @ 18.1 (17/1)

Another great name, Billy Horschel, is also likely to win the WWT Championship at Mayakoba, with odds by new bookies at 18.1 (17/1). Billy has been a consistent player for many years. His major wins include the BMW Championship, Tour Championship, and twice the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Moreover, if we consider experience, Horschel has an edge. It’s not like he has an exceptional record, but he has won big events due to his experience and may lift the trophy this year.

History of the Mayakoba Golf Classic

The event was started back in 2007 in Riviera Maya-Cancun. From 2013 to 2017, the tournament was named OHL Classic at Mayakoba, but it was again renamed Mayakoba Classic in 2018.

Since 2021, World Wide Technology has also been included in its title, as they are a major sponsor. Mostly, American golfers are dominant, as 12 out of 15 are Americans. However, only Victor Hovland won the event twice.

Past 5 Winners

  • 2021 – Viktor Hovland
  • 2020 – Viktor Hovland
  • 2019 – Brendon Todd
  • 2018 – Matt Kuchar
  • 2017 – Patton Kizzire

WWT at Mayakoba 2022 – Safe Betting Picks

As betting only on a winner is risky, you probably want to know safe bets too. So, here are our Mayakoba Championship 2022 golf predictions that have higher chances of giving you a bet bonus.

Victor Hovland to Finish in Top 5 @ 3.8 (11/4)

Although Victor is two times champion and a strong candidate, he may miss his hat trick this year. However, based on his recent form, he is likely to at least finish in the top 5s with odds at 3.8 (11/4) – Mexico bookies know he is good at local fields. So, if you doubt his victory, it will be safer to bet on his position among the top 5 players.

Collin Morikawa to Finish in Top 5 @ 5.0 (4/1)

Collin Morikawa is another talented player whom you can’t miss. His championship-winning odds may not be recommendable, but he may finish in the top 5s at 5.0 (4/1). We pick Collin as a safe bet for the spot due to his victory in the PGA Championship 2020 and The Open Championship 2021. He was also the second-best golfer last year.

J.T Poston to Finish in Top 10 @ 6.9 (6/1)

Since turning professional in 2015, J.T Poston may not have won many tournaments. However, he is most successful in finishing in the top 10 of numerous events. But this year, Poston was among the top 10 four times and won the John Deere Classic event in July. If not for the top 5s, he can be safe to bet for ending in the top 10s.

  • Victor Hovland to Win at 11.2 (10/1)
