Even at the UK Championship, despite not garnering that much attention, Trump walked his way into the semi-finals with a good win over Mark Selby in the quarter-finals. Expect him to build off this momentum in Edinburgh and claim his first-ever Scottish Open title – particularly if O’Sullivan withdraws, as rumors indicate he may.

It’s been a quiet past few weeks for John Higgins, but expect him to rise to the occasion at his home tournament. Placed in a quarter with the in-form Ding Junhui, Higgins is returning a handy 4.50 (7/2) to win the fourth quarter, which we say is more than worth taking a punt on.
We predicted that Junhui would perform last week, which he did, but this week, we expect the Chinese player to go out early. Junhui has been notoriously inconsistent when it comes to backing up deep runs, so Higgins should have a wide-open shot at claiming the quarter here.
