It’s no surprise seeing Fury priced as the favourite for this fight, but we wouldn’t underestimate Whyte either. He held the WBO title before he lost it against Anthony Joshua; however, Whyte still holds the WBC interim title, making him a mandatory candidate for Fury’s title defense and one of Fury’s toughest opponents. But can the 34-year-old prove the doubters and the bookies wrong and come out ahead this weekend?

According to the latest Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte odds, the underdog’s chances to win the fight are slim, or rather, Fury’s probability to come out ahead is quite solid. At 1.20, Fury’s implied probability of winning is as high as 83.3%, while the bookmakers are giving Whyte a mere 22.2% chance of success.

According to the stats we have on the fighters and their past fight record, those figures look fair, but is there any value in backing either of the 2?

Head-to-Head: Fury vs. Whyte

Tyson Fury (31-0-1) and Dillian Whyte (28-2-0) are undeniably 2 of the best heavyweights in the world, but they have yet to meet before. And according to Fury – who stated that he plans to retire after this bout – Saturday’s bout could be the first and last time these 2 meet.

Even though Fury and Whyte have never met before, they did train together, meaning they should be familiar with each other’s fighting styles.

Having no previous fights between the 2 fighters to analyze makes it a bit trickier to predict how this bout will go. But if we compare their fighting styles, form, and other valuable data we have on them,  there are a few betting picks we’re interested in.

Tyson Fury Form

Tyson Fury is 31-0-1 over his boxing career and 4-0-1 over his last 5 fights, which is quite impressive. Most notably, he went to a split draw against Deontay Wilder, who he ended up beating twice in 2020 and 2021.

Interestingly, those 2 are Wilder’s only 2 losses of his career, bringing his (otherwise very impressive) record to 42-2-1, which includes 41 knockouts. We don’t care too much about Wilder’s record for this bout, but we have to mention how good of a fighter Wilder is, yet he still lost to Fury (twice).

With a 31-0-1 record, Fury has yet to taste defeat in his career, and he is in excellent form. Most notably, 6 of his last 10 fights ended in a KO, which is nothing to sneeze at and is something to consider when making our betting picks.

Fury Advantages Over Whyte

Both Fury and Whyte fight in a similar orthodox stance and share other similarities. There aren’t many advantages one fighter has over the other, but when we talk about Fury’s advantages, the most notable is his size.

Tyson Fury is 205 cm tall and has a 215.9 cm reach, compared to Whyte’s 198 cm. Fury is also a more experienced fighter, having fought his first fight in December 2008, and has a better career record.

Dillian Whyte Form

Dillian Whyte is 28-2-0 and 4-1 over his last 5 fights. Even though he had lost 2 fights, Whyte has defeated some of the world’s top fighters, including Derek Chisora and Alexander Povetkin – both with a KO. So even though Whyte is less experienced than Fury, he has achieved immense success against elite-level boxers, so he is no slouch – as the latest Fury vs. Whyte odds might suggest.

We must also touch on Whyte’s change in his fighting style over his last 5 fights, where he has displayed increased aggression. Against Povetkin, Whyte landed 57 to 8, leading to a 4th-round KO, a huge jump from his 63 to 34 in his first fight.

Whyte Advantages Over Fury

As noted above, Fury and Whyte share many similarities, and even though Fury has some advantages over Whyte, there don’t seem to be any advantages Whyte has over Fury.

He is smaller (193 cm) and has a shorter reach (198 cm). Moreover, his first professional fight came 3 years (2011) after Fury’s, and he had fought fewer fights over his career. On a more positive note, Whyte does have 19 KOs, which is still fewer than Fury (22), but percentage-wise, Whyte’s KO rate is comparable to that of the Gypsy King.

Knowing that Whyte has no clear advantages – at least on paper – against Fury, it makes perfect sense that the Fury vs. Whyte odds show him as the underdog.

Time and Date of the Event

This heavyweight bout is set to take place on Saturday, April 23 (18:00 BST), at the Wembley Stadium, in front of a 90,000 crowd. As one of the most heavily-anticipated bouts of the year, you can be sure that you will be able to watch the Fury vs. Whyte fight on any streaming platform, but note that there will be no way to watch it for free.

All legal streaming platforms will provide live streaming of the fight for a fee, but you might be able to watch the fight for free. If you have access to a bookmaker or any other live bet sites that offer live streams, you will have access to a live streaming service of the fight straight from your bookie.

Know that not all bookmakers will have that option ready and that you will need to place a bet on the fight to have access to the stream and enjoy the highlights. But that is hardly an issue you’re planning to bet on the bout.

Fury vs. Whyte Predictions

As the latest Fury vs. Whyte betting odds suggest, the defending champion should emerge as the winner of the upcoming fight with ease. And while there’s a good chance that might happen, betting on Fury to win is not the best pick you can make at the offered Fury vs. Whyte odds. However, that doesn’t mean there are no great betting opportunities to look at.

Fight to End in Round 6 – 12/1

Round betting in boxing is somewhat risky, but at 12/1, we’re ready to take a swing at this betting market. The fight could end in any of the 12 rounds, or we could even see it end with a decision, but we don’t believe the latter scenario is likely.

No matter how you look at it, Whyte’s chances of knockouting Fury are meager since Fury has yet to be KO-ed, and considering Wilder wasn’t able to KO Fury, it’s fair to say that no man in the world can do it. But when we talk about Fury’s chances to KO Whyte, there seems to be a good chance it might happen – but only at specific points.

According to trends and stats, Fury’s KO percentage goes up after Round 7 and drops towards the end. Not necessarily because Fury isn’t likely to KO Whyte in Rounds 7-12, but because he is likely to do it sooner.

As such, the fight to end in Round 6 at 12/1 offers the most value and is our main Fury vs Whyte prediction.

Fight to End in Rounds 4-6 – 9/2

If you’re looking for a more secure bet, albeit at lower odds, a wager on the fight to end in Rounds 4-6 at 5.50 is a solid alternative. This pick needs no additional explanation as it works off what was already said above. The only thing you need to know about this pick is that we expect this fight to end early.

Tyson Fury to Win with KO, TKO, or Disqualification – 8/11

Everyone likes to see an underdog win, but no matter how you approach evaluating this bout, there is no denying that Fury is the clear favourite. There is nothing about Whyte that would suggest he is capable of causing an upset as this fight is Fury’s to lose.

Barring any surprises, Fury should win, and if he does, it’s highly unlikely for him not to score a KO. That is both because Fury is more than capable of knocking down his opponents and because Whyte has started fighting more aggressively, which leaves him exposed.

Fury to win with KO, TKO, or DIsqualification at 8/11 is a great pick we can’t look past.

Fury vs. Whyte Prediction – Bonus Pick

All of our Fury vs. Whyte predictions for this fight revolve around one simple idea – Fury should win, it will be a KO, and it will happen early into the bout. As such, we are adding another pick on the fight to end in under 9.5 rounds on 8/11. Admittedly, the odds aren’t very high, but it makes a lot of sense to be on the under for this fight.

Prediction: Under 9.5 rounds – 8/11

Our Fury vs. Whyte Betting Tips

  1. Fight to End in Round 6 – 12/1
  2. Fight to End in Rounds 4-6 – 9/2
  3. Tyson Fury to Win With KO, TKO, or Disqualification – 8/11
  4. Under 9.5 rounds – 8/11

That concludes our Tyson Fury vs. Dillian Whyte boxing betting preview, providing you with 4 excellent betting predictions to wager on. Before you place your bets, make sure to register with the best boxing bookmakers and follow the news – if any important information on the fight comes up!
