The 2024 UK Championship snooker tournament will be the 48th edition of the competition. The main draw will have 32 players competing for the title, as the top 16 players on the snooker world rankings qualify directly for the event, while 128 other players fight in the qualifications for the remaining 16 spots.
The UK Championship format runs with the usual knockout system in snooker. All matches will be played with the best of 11 frames until the final, which will be played with the best of 19 frames format. The total prize fund for this tournament is £1,205,000, and the winner will go home with an enticing £250,000.
There have been five different champions in the last five editions. Ronnie O’Sullivan increased his lead of the most UK Championship titles won (8) by winning the event last year.
