Argentina have lost steam in recent campaigns, but they still pack enough punch to ace Pool A.
At one point, the league title seemed all but confirmed for Santiago Gómez Cora’s men. Ireland rapidly caught up to the South Americans, however, in the final stages of the season. Argentina needed to finish fifth in Singapore to get their hands on the title, and they managed to do so after edging out South Africa in a nail-biting fifth-place playoff.
While our Rugby 7s 2023-24 betting tips don’t foresee Argentina winning the Grand Final, we expect them to beat the rest of the pack in Pool A. France will not be in high spirits following their horrible showing in Singapore, while Australia have already lost two SVNS titles to Argentina this season. Great Britain, who barely managed to claim a championship berth, don’t appear to have the fireworks to top the table. So, Argentina seems to be a pretty safe bet here.
