The Polish Ekstraklasa operates on a promotion/relegation system with Fortuna I Liga, with 18 teams playing 34 matches each season. The bottom three teams from the Ekstraklasa are directly relegated, while the top three from Fortuna I Liga are promoted.
The Ekstraklasa 24-25 champions will earn a spot in the UEFA Champions League’s second qualifying round. However, due to low UEFA coefficients, no Ekstraklasa team qualifies directly for the UEFA Europa League. Still, should the champions be ejected from the Champions League, they enter the Europa League.
The Polish Cup victors will secure a spot in the Europa Conference League. Ekstraklasa’s second and third-placed teams will also appear in the competition. The Polish Cup winners join the competition in the second qualifying round, just like the second and third-placed Ekstraklasa teams.
