Online bookmakers have this tournament as a tight one, with a two-way tie for the top spot in the betting odds. Both Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler pay 9.00 (8/1) to win the event, before the odds to win PGA 2024 AT&T Pro-Am begin increasing. Xander Schauffele and Viktor Hovland come in next, also joint on 13.00 (12/1) as third favorites. Rounding out the top five, American Max Homa pays 15.00 (14/1) for an outright victory.

History of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am has been played regularly for almost a century, with the first tournament held here in 1937. Since then, the event has undergone several name changes but is consistently played across courses in Pebble Beach in February.

What gives this event a quirk is that the field consists of 80 professionals and 80 amateurs. The 2024 AT&T Pro-Am celebrities list sounds interesting, with the big names in sports like Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady going to compete. While this gives the tournament some flavor, it also sees some big names opt to sit it out due to the distraction.

Past Winners of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

Here’s how this tournament has unfolded in recent years:

    • 2019 — Phil Mickelson beat Paul Casey
    • 2020 — Nick Taylor beat Kevin Streelman
    • 2021 — Daniel Berger beat Maverick McNealy
    • 2022 — Tom Hoge beat Jordan Spieth

Each of the last five years has brought a different winner in Pebble Beach, with no one able to defend their title. Read on for our 2024 PGA Pebble Beach AT&T Pro-Am preview.

2024 Golf AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Betting Tips

We’ve searched through all the best golf odds and found the bets that will be the most lucrative for you this week. Here are the three 2024 AT&T Pro-Am golf betting tips that we recommend ahead of Thursday’s first tee:

Despite this week’s tournament boasting a loaded field, we say it will be world number seven Max Homa who comes out on top of the likes of Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy.

The American loves playing in his home state of California. Of the six titles he’s claimed, four of these have come on the West Coast at home. So far this year, he’s achieved modest results, with two top 15 finishes, coming T14 at The Sentry and T13 at the Farmers Insurance Open. However, last season saw Homa pick up two titles on the PGA Tour plus another on the DP World Tour, to go with his nine other top 10 finishes.

While Homa didn’t play in the Pebble Beach event in 2023, he’s performed well here on three previous occasions. Twice, he’s finished in the top 10, and he has never done worse than a top 14 finish. With a load of impressive consistency under his belt and big odds of 15.00 (14/1), we say it’s an excellent time to take a punt on Homa picking up his seventh title this weekend.

Scottie Scheffler to Finish Top Five @ 2.87 (15/8)

Speaking of consistency, the name that has consistently come to mind over the last year is Scottie Scheffler. The current world number one made an incredible 14 top-five finishes last season, and already this year, he’s added to that tally. Scheffler knows how to go deep in tournaments week after week. While his T17 performance at The American Express last week wasn’t the American’s best golf, his T5 before that at The Sentry shows that he hasn’t lost his form from 2023.

We think Homa will have what it takes to beat Scheffler this weekend, but expect the 27-year-old to be in title contention yet again when the last Sunday rolls around.

Rory McIlroy to Finish 11 or Worse @ 1.91 (10/11)

    Event Prediction

We’re picking an upset this week as Rory McIlroy fails to make the top 10 at Pebble Beach. The Northern Irishman has been in scintillating form so far in 2024, coming runner-up at the Dubai Invitational before winning the Hero Dubai Desert Classic. However, California is no Dubai, and despite the 34-year-old’s recent success, we say the Pebble Beach course will get the better of him.

McIlroy has only ever played this tournament once in his career, and he missed the cut. This course is all about precision, a trait that McIlroy has struggled with from time to time in recent years. Back him to have a cooler here this week and fizzle out well ahead of the last day.

All the big names head to California this week, where golf stars will rub shoulders with celebrities at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. With a loaded field, we say it will be Max Homa who comes out on top and continues his strong track record playing at home. Back Scottie Scheffler to give him a good run for his money, however, while Rory McIlroy flames out on a tricky course.
