Luke Humphries @ 5.00 (4/1)

World number one Luke Humphries leads the betting heading into this weekend, and for good reason. The 30-year-old has been a consistent force on tour – though his last title was over a month ago.

Michael van Gerwen @ 7.00 (6/1)

Those looking to bet on the 2025 International Darts Open will be familiar with veteran Michael van Gerwen. The world number three went deep at the German Open recently and is widely seen as a generational talent.

Gerwyn Price @ 7.50 (13/2)

Coming in just behind van Gerwen is Gerwyn Price, who had a strong track record at the International Open. Safe to say he’ll be eager to make amends for last year’s shock loss in the final.

Rob Cross @ 15.00 (14/1)

Rob Cross has been on the rise over the last 12 months, and German bookies for sports put him on the fourth line of betting to win the title in Riesa as a result. It’s been a quiet last few weeks for Cross, though, with no back-to-back match wins since March 13. Admittedly, he’s come up against Littler three times.

Stephen Bunting @ 19.00 (18/1)

Bunting is set as the fifth-favorite to win the title but should still be viewed as a hefty dark horse, given his odds of 19.00 (18/1). Still, on his day, the Englishman can threaten and take the title home.

There hasn’t been much to write home about for Gerwyn Price in the last fortnight, but there’s no denying the world number 12 knows how to turn it on for this event. Of the last five finals, Price has been in four, winning three.

This year, he’s shown plenty of promise as well. Just over a fortnight ago, he went on a run at Premier League Night 6, beating Little, van Gerwen, and Bunting with ease. His only issue has been consistency, and there have also been plenty of losses recently. However, we say that just juices up the odds for what is a no-brainer bet heading into the 2025 International Open.

High Odds Pick: Nathan Aspinall to Win Outright @ 23.00 (22/1)

In contrast, Nathan Aspinall doesn’t have much of a track record at the International Open in recent years. However, he’s riding high on confidence after just taking out the German Open. Aspinall got a handy draw with just Gary Anderson and Ryan Joyce in the semi-finals and finals, respectively. However, he made his own luck, knocking out Humphries in the quarter-finals with a dominant 6-1 performance.

He also beat van Gerwen just last weekend and had wins over Cross and Bunting in March too. Aspinall is far from a sure bet at the International Open, but considering his odds sit at 23.00 (22/1) and he just proved he had a title run in his last week, we’re happy to take the risk.

The third-ranking event of the year takes place this weekend in Germany, with the best of the best fighting it out for three days in Reisa. While last year proved that any number of players can string together a good run and win this event, we expect to see a regression to the norm this edition – and the norm is Gerwyn Price winning.
