Leading our Olympic Games 2024 volleyball predictions for the women’s event are the United States. The defending champions have been a regular force in women’s volleyball at the Olympics, bagging a medal every edition since 2004 (one gold, two silvers and a bronze).
They come into Paris as defending champions, having rocked Brazil 3-0 in the final of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. The United States may only be fifth in the world rankings, but that doesn’t concern us. If Andrea Drews hits some form, back them to score back-to-back golds.

Serbia have been impressive at the Olympics the past two editions, winning silver in 2016 and bronze in 2020. They have been clutch at the FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship as well, winning the past two editions in 2018 and 2022 in emphatic fashion.
While we think they’ll fall short once again in Paris, we expect them to start strong and dominate the group stage. Their biggest competitors in pool play will be the United States, who we’re backing Serbia to upset in their group match.
