Main Prediction: Deauville Legend to Win @ 5.50 (9/2)

Deauville Legend was very dominant in his win at the Great Voltigeur Stakes. He put off competition from excellent horses like Secret State and El Bodegon. His main competitor for this race was Loft, who was confirmed to be out on Friday morning after being ruled out by the Racing Victoria vets.

With Loft out, Deauville Legend should be winning this race, according to the new Australia bookmaker. He has an excellent track record on a dry track, although he wouldn’t be getting that in the Melbourne Cup. If he maintains his form, the James Ferguson-trained horse is expected to come out on top.
