Before we dive into our golf Blue Bay 2024 LPGA predictions, let’s look at what bookmaker apps are saying about this tournament. These are the latest LPGA Blue Bay 2024 golf odds:
Tell me a golf tournament is going to be competitive without telling me a golf tournament is going to be competitive. With barely a whisker separating the top four women in Hainan this week, one thing is for sure: this one’s going to be tight. Lydia Ko has an ever-so-slight lead over the rest of the pack at 9.00 (8/1) before Xiyu Lin, Lilia Vu, and Celie Boutier are all tied at 9.50 (17/2). Odds drop slightly from here, with 2016 champ Minjee Lee trailing at 12.00 (11/1).
Understanding the Blue Bay Women’s Golf Tournament
The Blue Bay tournament was introduced to the LPGA Tour in 2014, and became a hit with the event occurring regularly for five years. However, the travel restrictions occurring due to Covid-19 meant that the past several editions have been canceled. This will be the first edition since 2018, with $2.1 million on the line across the par 72 course this weekend.
Past winners of the Blue Bay LPGA
- 2014 – Lee-Anne Pace (South Africa)
- 2015 – Sei-Young Kim (South Korea)
- 2016 – Minjee Lee (Australia)
- 2017 – Shanshan Feng (China)
- 2018 – Gaby Lopez (Mexico)
With golf finally returning to Hainan Island in China, will we see a local champion reign supreme yet again this weekend? Or can New Zealand’s Lydia Ko keep her hot form alive and claim a 21st title? Read on for our golf women Blue Bay predictions 2024.

This is why you’re here: the part where we break down the Ladies PGA Blue Bay 2024 betting odds and tell you which are the best bets to make this week. Well, you’re in luck because we’ve looked at all the best crypto sportsbooks, and here are our top three Blue Bay 2024 predictions:
Lydia Ko to Win @ 9.00 (8/1)
So far this year, it’s been all Lydia Ko. The young Kiwi made the best possible start to the 2024 LPGA Tour, winning her first event of the year at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in January. She followed up her 20th title with an impressive runner-up performance at the LPGA Drive On Championship just a week later, reminding golf fans why she’s one of the best ever to swing a golf club from her country.
Recently she took a bit of a cooler at the HSBC Women’s World Championship, failing to make a splash with a T34 finish last week. However, we say that’s the perfect recipe for another big run here in Hainan. The Kiwi is clearly striking the ball well and high on confidence, but her dud run last week takes off some of the pressure and expectation from her shoulders. This combination just screams for another result, which we say she’ll get on Sunday in China.
Minjee Lee to Win @ 12.00 (11/1)

Should Ko have another cooler of a week, we say it will be Minjee Lee who prevails instead. Minjee also failed to impress last week at the HSBC Women’s World Championship, which was the only tournament she’s played this year. However, two big factors play in Lee’s favor this week.
Firstly, she had won on the course before. In 2016, the Aussie went all the way and shot an impressive -13 to win the event by one stroke. Secondly, she is coming off a year that saw her win two titles and come runner-up once. These are not the kind of numbers that will light the world on fire, but they are excellent nonetheless and speak to her ability to win this tournament again in 2024.
Sei-young Kim – Top Five Finish @ 8.50 (15/2)

Finally, we expect 2015 champion Sei-young Kim to also make a deep run this week. While we say she’ll be beaten to the punch by Ko or Lee, the 31-year-old has looked in good shape this season so far, finishing T12, T3, and T17 across the three tournaments she’s contested. Last year, her form was rocky, with only two top-five finishes, but with promising signs already in 2024, we say that returning to a course where she’s prevailed previously will bring the best out of the Korean. With women’s golf odds of 8.50 (15/1) for a top-five finish, it’s hard to say no.
Our Golf Women Blue Bay Predictions 2024
Ladies golf returns to Hainan, China, this week as some of the best women in the world tee off at the Blue Bay on Thursday. While the competition will be fierce, we expect New Zealand’s Lydia Ko to continue her brilliant form and take out the title on Sunday, edging a valiant effort from 2015 champion Sei-young Kim.
