A 1-1 draw away to Troyes FC on the last day of the season was enough for Lille to secure the last European spot in the Ligue One ahead of AS Monaco. The Mastiffs won the league as huge underdogs in the 2020/21 season, beating PSG to the title by one point on the final day.
