Bookies are high on Mumbai to win this one, but we say it’ll be the Titans who get across the line in Ahmedabad. Don’t get us wrong – we’re expecting big things from MI this season, but all this expectation doesn’t bode well.
Mumbai are a classically slow starting team. They seem to always get themselves into a hole early in the season, then play well with their backs against the wall. Heading to the Narendra Modi Stadium to play a still-impressive Gujarat team in their opener is no sure thing. Expect Khan and Williamson to shine for the home side and cause an early “upset” here.
In terms of 2024 IPL GT – MI betting tips, other than the outright bet on GT, we suggest backing Khan to be the player of the match. This offers a healthy return of 8.00 (7/1), and could easily come to fruition with one over of magic with the ball and a few heavy sixes at the tail-end of GT’s innings.
