2024-25 Czech 1st League Winner Odds & Favorites
Ahead of our season predictions for Czech First League 24/25, we will take a look at the favorites to win the league from the bookies in Czechia. Below are the top teams to clinch the league title for next season:
Slavia Prague @ 2.00 (1/1)
Slavia Prague won the league title in the 2020/21 season, and they missed out on the top prize last season to their capital city rivals. Despite their shortcomings, the Slavists enter the new season as the favorites to win the league on the 2024-25 Czech First League odds. With one of the strongest teams in the league, Jindrich Trpisovsky’s team will be looking to win their eighth league title.
Sparta Prague @ 2.25 (5/4)
Sparta Prague added more to their trophy cabinet with an enthralling league win last season. The Slavists are looking to extend their dominance as one of the best teams in the Czech Republic and they are just behind Sparta on the odds to retain their trophy. The last two seasons in the league have been close between the top two teams. Only two points separated Sparta Prague and Slavia Prague last season, and they have served up a great rivalry.
FC Viktoria Plzen @ 8.00 (7/1)
Viktoria Plzen won the league in the 2021/22 season and aside from the big two teams from Prague, Miroslav Koubek’s team are among the top three favorites on the 24/25 Czech First League season predictions. Last season the Viktorka finished third in both the regular season and Championship series. Viktoria Plzen will face another tough test as they bid to win their seventh-ever league title.
FC Banik Ostrava @ 60.00 (59/1)
Banik Ostrava finished in the top four last season but were very far off the top two as they ended the season 38 points off the top spot. Pavel Hapel will remain the coach for the new season, and he will be tasked with qualifying for the Championship series as a league win looks unlikely. Banik Ostrava has won the Czech First League title once and that victory came in the 2003/04 season, losing only three matches.
FC Slovan Liberec @ 80.00 (79/1)
Slovan Liberec completes the top five on the 2024-25 Czech First League winner odds with a huge 80.00 (79/1) for the Blue-Whites on the football apps for betting. Radoslav Kovac’s team finished seventh in the regular season in 2023/24, and they have won the Championship three times. Slovan Liberec had some exciting results last season, but they need an extraordinary season to win the league this year.
Football Czechia Fortuna Liga 2024-25 Format & Overview
The Czech Fortuna Liga has two different phases, and this format was introduced in the 2018/19 season. The season kicks off with the regular phase, with all 16 teams participating in home and away matches, with a total of 30 games for each team. At the end of the regular season, the teams are divided into three different groups: the Championship group, the Europa League playoffs, and the Relegation group.
The top six teams enter the championship group, with the first-placed team being named champions. All teams will play against each other only once, playing a total of five additional matches. Points earned are added to the points from the regular season. The teams ranked 7th–10th after the regular season take part in the Europa League play-offs, and a qualification spot is awarded to the best team from this group.
The bottom six teams after the regular season enter the relegation group. In a format similar to the Championship group, the bottom-placed team is relegated while teams in 15th and 14th places play relegation play-offs against teams finishing 2nd and 3rd in the Czech National Football League.
History Of The Czech Football Championship
The Czech Football League began in the 1993/94 season following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, and therefore, it became the successor of the Czechoslovak League. Sparta Prague won the first two editions and has won 14 titles in total, the most for any team in the country. David Lafata played for Jablonec and Sparta Prague, racking up 198 league goals in 418 games in the Czech Football League.

Outright Winner 24-25 Fortuna Liga Predictions
Sparta Prague to Win Outright @ 2.25 (5/4)
2 (100%)

Sparta Prague had another spectacular season in 2023/24 as they beat their arch-rivals to the title again. Since the current format, the Slavists have 14 league titles to their name, double the amount of their closest rival, Slavia Prague. Brian Priske has been key to their huge successes recently but Feyenoord recently snapped him up to replace Arne Slot. Slavia Prague appointed Lars Friis, who was the assistant manager, and they are still retaining the core of their team, which sounds promising. In addition to winning the league last season, Sparta Prague won the Czech Cup last season, and they can extend their dominance in 2024/25. Backing Sparta Prague to win a third consecutive league title is a good option on the 24-25 Czech Fortuna Liga predictions.
High Odds Winner Prediction – FC Viktoria Plzen @ 8.00 (7/1)
2 (100%)

Viktoria Plzen competed fairly with Slavia Prague and Sparta Prague in the few games they met last season. If there’s any team capable of an upset, it is Miroslav Koubek’s side. Viktoria Plzen reached the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League last season, and they didn’t lose any of their last two league meetings with Sparta Prague. The Viktorka have come close in the last few years and they are the only team to have beaten Sparta Prague and Slavia Prague to a league title recently. A bet on Viktoria Plzen to win the league has huge offers on the Fortuna Liga Czechia predictions 2024/25.
Czech 1st League 2024/25 Matchday 1 Betting Pick
Bohemians 1905 to Beat Banik Ostrava @ 2.60 (6/4)
1 (50%)
(50%) 1
Moving away from the 2024-25 Czech First League winner odds, we can offer an interesting pick for Matchday 1 in Czechia 1st League new season. Despite the fact that Banik Ostrava was a much better team last season, their UECL participation should imprint additional problems for the team. Their preseason results are far from good, while after facing Bohemians in the first round, they will play against a team in the Second UECL Qualifying round. We expect an underestimation from Banik, whose thoughts will be partially in the upcoming international clash. At the same time, Bohemians 1905 will be motivated to start strong in the new season and escape relegation playoff clashes, at least. This option is available on sports betting sites that don’t limit punters to only in-game bets.
