International football is coming back after the end of most leagues around the world. This is the second edition of the CONCACAF Nations League tournament, as the United States won the first title in 2021. Panama, Canada, the USA, and Mexico will battle it out for the trophy in CONCACAF Nations League Finals in 2023.
The second edition of the CONCACAF Nations League starts on June 15 with two semi-final matches: Panama will take on Canada, while the United States will face Mexico. The winners of both games will play in the final match, which will be in the Allegiant Stadium at Paradise on the 18th of June.

Canada will be hoping to improve on their performance after a not-so-good 2022 Football World Cup tournament, as they couldn’t score a single point from three matches. They are slight favorites to win the trophy, and they also have the easiest matchup in the semifinals.

The CONCACAF Nations League tournament consists of 41 teams split into three leagues, which are Leagues A, B, and C. Each league consists of four groups and the four group winners of League A qualify for this CONCACAF Nations League tournament.
The last team in each group gets relegated to the lower league, while the group winners get promoted to the higher league. Panama, Canada, the USA, and Mexico finished in first place in their groups in League A, and that’s why they qualified for this tournament.
This will be the second edition of the CONCACAF Nations League. The first edition was held in September 2018, and the final match of that edition was in 2021. Canada was in Group C, which consisted of Honduras and Curacao. The Canadian team had a good showing in their last two games, winning 2-0 against Curacao and beating Honduras 4-1 to clinch first place in the group. Canada only lost to Honduras, which was an away match.
There were no surprises in Panama’s roster, as all the players who contributed in their qualifications to this stage, like Ismael Diaz, Edgar Barcenas, and Anibal Godoy, are all available to play.
