Itas Trentino are favorites this year for a good reason. The Italian side topped Pool A with five wins and one loss from their six games. Adding to this, they have a strong recent history with two consecutive finals in 2020-21 and 2021-22. They’ll be eager to go one better this season and look primed to do so.
Another side that topped their pool during the league stage are Gas Sales Bluenergy Piacenza. Just like their compatriots, Piacenza dropped only one game in their pool, finishing top with five wins from six. If they make a deep run to the final this year, it will be uncharted territory, as the club have never advanced beyond the semi-finals.
