“This year we have the added excitement of the reappearance of City Of Troy (Justify) in the QIPCO 2000 Guineas, who is the most exciting horse to be seen in many a year and our current 4-6 market leader. We look forward to a wonderful three days.”
Lee Phelps, spokesperson for William Hill
, expressed their enthusiasm: “We are thrilled to become the official betting partner of the Qipco Guineas Festival, further enhancing our relationship with The Jockey Club following a successful Grand National Festival.”
“It’s fantastic for William Hill to be directly associated with such a prestigious event at Newmarket, the heart of thoroughbred racing, for this season’s first two Classics. Our company has a strong historical connection with the 2000 Guineas, as William Hill himself bred Nimbus, the 1949 winner who also triumphed in the Derby.”
Phelps stated that the company looks forward to participating in racing’s key meetings and considers the Qipco Guineas Festival the ideal sponsorship opportunity as the British Flat season gets underway.
